Feedback, Ideas, and Troubleshooting

This just pop in my mind, but I find it helpful if we have all the sessions we are attending or hosting all organized in a monthly calendar instead of scrolling down from a list. Hosting and attending can be in different colors. We could still keep the long list but also have a better visual of it on a calendar.

I think everyone would love if we could add peers that way we can stay in touch and possibly join the same tutor sessions or study groups

we should have more badges to motivate learners and tutors more! for example: host 400 sessions, attend 400 sessions, Reach Tanzanite level at 20,000 SP, reach 100 followers, Get 100/200/300 super helpful ratings, for learners give 100/200/300 feedback to tutors etc...

This would reduce the backlog in certification, and result in applications being more quickly addressed. Also, it would provide another way for volunteer hours to be earned.

Having a mobile app for schoolhouse.world would make accessing the platform easier on the go. It would allow people to join sessions easily when they do not have access to computers and it could raise attendance rates by sending app notifications of upcoming sessions.

What if students want to search for sessions based on when they are free, rather than based on topic? I believe this search page would be best implemented as a calendar view, e.g. https://images.app.goo.gl/fErkeRSmoDyoFDev8 . Tutors can also help fill in gaps in session availability better, so Schoolhouse has better 24/7 coverage.

Currently, a tutor can put this in the description. But it might be helpful to put this as a separate field. Possible use case - learner can filter sessions based on these levels.

Although there is no video demonstration for honorary certifications, they are still reviewed by the certification team, and it certifies us to tutor in those particular topics. I think they should be added to the Transcript as well.

I've had quite a few people ask through user support if they could request a session from a specific tutor; would it be possible to implement something for this? Two ideas I have: 1) "Request a session" button on the tutor's profile page 2) A place when submitting a session request allowing users to select a tutor that they'd prefer if they have one in mind

I think that bringing ACT prep to schoolhouse would be a great idea: it's an excellent way to reach out to new learners, as the ACT currently has about 45% market share and is the test of choice in the midwest and southern US. Also, there's possibly even more demand for free prep in this area, as no ACT equivalent for Khan Academy's free and accessible SAT prep exists. We could certify tutors using ACT scores, and have a few tutors leading an initiative to gather resources, train tutors, etc.
