I propose we implement a 50-character minimum for questions posted in the Live Help section, as this small change could have a transformative effect on the tutoring process. Currently, many students submit vague queries such as “need help with math homework,” or “I need to score higher on my SAT,” and even “I need help with these questions” without any other context. These broad requests often leave tutors guessing about what specific assistance is required, especially since not every tutor is certified in every area of a course. By encouraging students to provide a bit more detail, we can ensure they express their needs more clearly, which in turn allows them to receive timely and relevant help. I've observed that tutors frequently have to ask follow-up questions to clarify exactly what learners are struggling with, and this back-and-forth can significantly delay assistance. For instance, a question like “I need help with plotting coordinates on the coordinate plane for my math homework” offers important context right from the start, allowing our tutors to prepare and respond more effectively. This clarity not only will improve the tutoring experience for both parties but also may promote more efficient learning. By introducing this character minimum, we can create more focused interactions that truly address what students need. It allows tutors to provide targeted support and empowers students to get help for their specific challenges quickly. This small change could really enhance the overall learning experience, helping students thrive and making the most of our tutors' expertise.

I understand that it's currently a sub-subject under History ( https://schoolhouse.world/feedback/p/economics-finance-subworld ), but I still advocate for a separate one because I think it's better to be listed separately as "Economics" in the Schoolhouse.world portfolio rather than as "History" because the two subjects are quite different and the only similarity is that it's a Social Studies class. Alright, alright, I know this idea is probably shot down like most other requests, so let's find a compromise: I propose that we just rename "History" into "Social Studies" or "Social Science" so it's more all-encompassing and doesn't mislead or confuse people because Economics is in History.

To boost participation and engagement, every session tutors can award a Star Student for the most active-in-discussions learner. This can give them Schoolhouse Points and the number of Star Student awards a user receives will be displayed alongside the number of Helpfuls and Super Helpfuls.

Hi Schoolhouse Team, I am writing to propose a feature that would improve accessibility for prospective tutors. Currently, to tutor subjects like History, Computer Science, or SAT Prep, we are often required to provide proof of external test scores (like official AP exams or SAT results). However, these tests are expensive, and many students who are proficient in the material cannot afford to take them. I suggest that Schoolhouse expand its internal certification model—similar to how we currently verify Math proficiency via Khan Academy—to include these other subjects. Creating a "Schoolhouse Certification" for History, CS, and SAT would allow talented tutors to prove their knowledge without the financial barrier of official standardized testing. This would open the door for many proficient students who lack the funds for exams but have the knowledge to help others. Thank you for considering this!

Sometimes, I read over posts in live help that are perfectly normal, polite, and direct. Ten seconds later, their post is removed for offending the schoolhouse policy. I've seen it happen to the same learners, over and over again, even though they never posted anything wrong. I think there should be a feature that allows the post to reappear if it's non-offensive. Maybe allow AI (maybe, not a 100% suggestion) to scan over the 'offending' post and pass/fail it? IDK, it just seems really unfair when this feature is misused. It's never happened to me, but I've seen it happen too much.

Add an autosave feature for peer reviews, and a tab on the left of the peer review section titled "Drafts". That way, you can spend, say, 20m on a peer review and come back to it later! It also protects against random crashes (what happened to me, unfortunately).

Can we get updates and explanations for how you plan to implement a solution when you mark a suggestion as "Planned" or "Under Review"? Many of these are at least one year old, so it's nice to hear updates the team makes to implement them because that looks like the team is indeed planning and working to add the feature

I registered for a session but even though the tutor opened up the zoom meeting, I was unable to join when I clicked "join". Schoolworld would direct me to a page with the text "Error: Cannot join session you are not signed up for" even though I am registered and I know the tutor has the zoom meeting open. here is a screenshot.

Using names is such an important tool in establishing relationships, but sometimes new names can be intimidating. Would it be possible to add a pronunciation field to the profile?

we should have more badges to motivate learners and tutors more! for example: host 400 sessions, attend 400 sessions, Reach Tanzanite level at 20,000 SP, reach 100 followers, Get 100/200/300 super helpful ratings, for learners give 100/200/300 feedback to tutors etc...
