Receive Volunteer Hours for peer reviewing certifications

This would reduce the backlog in certification, and result in applications being more quickly addressed. Also, it would provide another way for volunteer hours to be earned.

Volunteer Hours for reviewing certifications

I think for every 10 certificates reviewed volunteers should get 30 minutes because I feel like volunteers spend time doing it and they should be rewarded.

It would be cool if they at least offered it when there is a big backlog. I believe that certifications typically just get taken care of by other people seeking certifications.

Hi Christopher, thanks for raising this. We're not 100% sure how a volunteer hours system would work with peer reviewing certifications, but we'll think about what's possible. Do you have any suggestions as to how that would work, and how we could prevent people from taking advantage of the system?

Akshay Ravikumar A timer that would start when the person starts the certification and ends when the person is done! Almost as similar as the peer reviewing sessions.

Akshay Ravikumar I agree! A timer should be set. So as to not only help the School house team review peer reviews, but also gain hours from it. I think this would be a great idea and many people would want to help peer review if this update were to ever be made :)

Akshay Ravikumar I think verifying people through training and having others review their reviews when they first start off (much like the way peer reviewing sessions works) could be an effective way of keeping everybody honest. I personally enjoy verifying certifications and hope you guys find a way to implement a system!

Akshay Ravikumar I think adding a separate space on the portfolio for 'no. of certificates reviewed' might help.
