[Updated: 18/11/24] Reasons why we should have an Economics, Business and Management subworld: Firstly, Khan Academy has a separate course for Economics. Every single course that Khan Academy has, mostly, we have it in Schoolhouse. In some cases, for every course, we have multiple subworlds, like the different maths. Economics, across the world, is becoming more prominent, and is being taken by a lot of people. Approximately 5–10 million people worldwide are likely studying some form of economics, whether at the secondary school, undergraduate, graduate, or professional certification level. This estimate accounts for formal enrolments in universities, high school economics courses, and participants in online or professional learning platforms [1, 2] Globally, an estimated 6–10 million people are actively studying computer science at various levels, from secondary school to advanced degrees. This includes formal university education, technical institutes, and online courses through platforms like Coursera and edX [3, 4] There are few resources for GCSE economics for example Apparent signs of interest in this subworld: https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/new-subworld-business-and-management (interest of 25) https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/proposal-for-a-commerce-subworld (interest of 15) https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/adding-microeconomics-and-macroeconomica-ap-to-schoolhouse (interest of 15) https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/hoping-for-an-economics-subworld (interest of 3) https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/adding-a-subworld-relating-to-business-and-economics (interest of 7) https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/economics-finance-subworld (interest of 4) https://schoolhouse.canny.io/feedback/p/add-economics (interest of 10) I have answered all the points on https://schoolhouse.world/faq/en/article/what-subworlds-will-be-created-next-lchts5/ How do we prioritize what subworlds to create first?: Is there significant demonstrated interest from across the community in having this subworld? YES, and I've only linked a few posts, there are many more! :) If I get the opportunity too, I would find a lot more interest. Right now, our community is primarily made up of English-speaking high school students taking the SAT. Does this subworld deepen the impact we can have on these students? YES because APs as well. For example, how does Biology help them, for APs. Do we have partners who can help drive this subworld to success? YES!! I am currently starting an organisation called ECONOMICANA, and we've got our team ready and all, with knowledge, and courses, our product launch is mid-December and I would be more than happy to help and get my organisation to help.
