Adding ACT Prep to Schoolhouse

I think that bringing ACT prep to schoolhouse would be a great idea: it's an excellent way to reach out to new learners, as the ACT currently has about 45% market share and is the test of choice in the midwest and southern US. Also, there's possibly even more demand for free prep in this area, as no ACT equivalent for Khan Academy's free and accessible SAT prep exists. We could certify tutors using ACT scores, and have a few tutors leading an initiative to gather resources, train tutors, etc.

I absolutely agree with this. There's no reason why there should be support for one test and not the other.

I would love this!

This would be very helpful for me as my school only offers the ACT and I know most kids at my school only ever take the ACT. I initially joined schoolhouse because I was reached out to about the SAT, and if it offered the ACT as well it could reach to even more students.

This is a great idea! I live in the mid west and a combination of either getting an ACT and SAT score or just a ACT score is very common here so having a ACT prep subword would be a great help.

How can we show more demand?

Thanks for the suggestion, Kate. Like with all content/taxonomy expansions, we want to see the demand before introducing new courses or topics. So we'll keep this open and see what support there is for expanding into ACT specific prep.

This is a great idea! I don't know how Khan Academy's partnership with College Board is though (I've been warned about this before when hosting an ACT session). Ideally, the partnership would not tie into SHW and so there shouldn't be a restriction. I look forward to seeing this idea proceed!

Hemali G: Hi! I was planning on hosting an ACT Math series for the April Act. I was wondering if you were still allowed to host the session even though it is for ACT and whether or not I should host an ACT Math series.

Yes! I agree- I don't have the SAT available where I live.
