Feedback, Ideas, and Troubleshooting

Give everyone on schoolhouse and attendance score. This would be kind of like a credit score for how likely a learner or tutor is to show up. There needs to be some sort of consequence for not showing up. I think a public percentage of (sessions attended/sessions signed up for). For new learners, it could be undetermined to handle the 0/0 case.

Remember how AoPS Math moved out of its own course into an Experimental topic? Expect to see a reversal in the future: we may want to move Enrichment out of its Experimental home to its own spacious course. This Enrichment course can contain topics like Arts, Study Skills, Reading, Writing, Seminar (for debates, discussions, speaking events, etc), Language, etc. This list is just indicative—a sample list—but I hope you get the idea. Recently, there was an update where you can have unexcused absences in a series; I still haven't figured out how to mark or make an unexcused absence (both as a tutor and learner) Because of this, I came up with a solution. Why don't we create a feature under the attendance area where tutors can put unexcused absences for students when appropriate? Learners can also input the information/request for an excused absence from their side (to prevent an abuse of power with this feature, tutors would have to approve a learner's request for an unexcused absence). I also believe we should have a feature (for both learners and tutors) to be able to change the attendance for students who were tardy or didn't join because the tutor didn't show up instead of learners getting an absent mark when In reality the student was late or the tutor didn't show up. These 2 features would help tutors keep up with the attendance rate appropriately and will help tutors avoid removing students who aren't violating the attendance policies.

It would be great if we can see the learner engagement for each session as a percentage, because I have hosted quite a few sessions in Precalculus, but it still shows me that I have had no engaging sessions, although many learners are interacting in my sessions.

I just went to my Schoolhouse profile and noticed a drop in my Learners Impacted stats. I had 100 learners impacted and now it's 95. Also, the amount of positive ratings I had went down, as well my volunteer hours on the Schoolhouse portfolio. I don't know why. Is this a glitch? Please let me know.

Because students and tutors don't get email notifications for messages or comments on sessions/series, they are compelled to check schoolhouse.world often and it can often take a while for one to respond to a message. It would be great if there could be email notifications for messages and session comments.

I feel that most learners and tutors tend to skip on giving feedback to the other party during live help because the notification to give feedback is only delivered after the entire scheduled session has ended and they have either forgotten what they want to say or are "lazy" to give the feedback. This leads to both tutors and learners missing out on important feedback for them to improve and learn. After the tutor is done with each learner and returns to the SHW website to click Unable to Help/Done Helping, there can immediately be a pop-up that allows tutors & learners to fill out on the feedback on the spot (this can still be voluntary and they could close the pop-up if they don't want to provide feedback). This will make giving feedback more accesible and convenient and will increase the amount of feedback given.

I have seen a couple of help posts where a learner has already been helped by a tutor or has gone offline, yet it still shows "currently being helped by a tutor ". Most of the time, this happens when a tutor has opened a zoom help but the learner does not join or goes offline. I have seen posts that have been there for 2 to 3 days but still showing "currently being helped by a tutor". I think this confuses tutors or learners who volunteer to help in the comments on whether or not the leaner still needs help. I just noticed this and thought I'd share. :)

I joined a couple of SAT bootcamps but before the classes started, I unenrolled due to time conflictions but I still keep getting reminders from my Google Calendar as well as mandatory forms for students doing the SAT bootcamps even though I am not currently enrolled in any bootcamps. I wish they didn't stay on my dashboard and state that they're due on a certain day. The questioners are about goals, etc pertaining to the SAT camp but why should I fill it out when I'm not even participating in any such classes?

I am not exactly sure, but I think I have an extra count of Highly engaging sessions in my counter. So, i opened a zoom room, had to cancel it because learner could not join, although they registered, and I think that added it to my highly engaging sessions. Can someone look into this?
