The Activity area is where you'll find out if your certifications have been approved or rejected, where you'll find out if you've been accepted on volunteer teams, etc. There's a fixed row height which in most instances (someone commenting on a post or reacting to a message) works fine, but in some scenarios causes key parts of the text to be hidden from view, with no obvious way to view it. I can inspect the HTML to find it, or alter the CSS styles to see it, but for most users it just won't be viewable. Sometimes the information here is critical with no other way to view it.
As an example, I got an Activity entry after a certification I submitted was processed (1st attachment). I can't tell if it was approved or rejected. If I turn off the fixed 64px row height, I can see the key part of the message (whether it was approved or rejected) (2nd attachment).
It's a similar situation when getting messages about volunteer teams. The third attachment shows what I saw. Clearly there's something I'm supposed to do ("Go to your..."), but I can't see what that is. Removing the 64px row height (4th attachment) shows the full message.
The display seemed alright to me just removing the fixed row height, but the team may have an alternate fix in mind. Might also need a different solution depending on screen dimensions, not sure.
I would have obfuscated all the text here but I think it's instructive to see the actual text I saw as a user to appreciate the problem caused when text is hidden from view.
