Hey this would be good for #competition-stem on Slack
Hannah W
If we did, would we connect STEAM and Tech in general to it? Or should those be separate subworlds?
Farah Z
Hi, I think this is a great idea, especially since my school has engineering programs and I feel students could benefit from them. I would recommend have a
Principles of Engineering and an
Intro to Engineering course. There are also *dual enrolment engineering courses. Unfortunately, I am not sure which those are, but these classes would be great. Good Luck to the program!Hannah W
This would be awesome and helpful for so many people. It would be so nice to have more subworlds for STEM! I hope we get it.

As someone who is considering Biomedical engineering we should really promote that!

Hey Joshua, curious if you can be a bit more specific on what topics you're considering being a part of this subworld?
Joshua A
James O'Brien: As a future computer engineer, I want to learn about circuits, reverse engineering, signals, and systems. Thus, I am excited about Khan Academy's Electrical Engineering course. And I would like to learn alongside others interested in computer engineering. This would also be a great place for prospective engineers from all fields to get together and have book clubs, etc.
Joshua A
Furthermore, the enrichment subworld is somewhat of a catch-all subworld, and engineering does not seem to fit given the enrichment subworld used to be more of an arts and languages subworld. It would be nice to have a subworld where I would know that these people care about engineering.

What do you think?

Thanks for this idea, our team is now reviewing :)

As this subworld idea becomes more popular, I have noticed that the feedback teams want more information on the ideas. I like the content of the Electrical Engineering Khan Academy course and I think it would be really fun to teach over the winter break. The certifications could be like in the CS subworld where you just explain an engineering topic.

Thank you to everyone who has voted for this. If you haven't, please join us.

I would like to be able to promote engineering sessions to an audience that would like them.
