Duplicate posts appearing in Live Help
complete

In two of my live help interactions on 10/9/25, duplicate messages have appeared. This happened to me in https://schoolhouse.world/dashboard/live-help?p=102276 and in https://schoolhouse.world/dashboard/live-help?p=102279. I left the duplicates in 102276 and deleted them in 102279. Of note is the duplicates also appear in the subworld version of the page, e.g. https://schoolhouse.world/w/algebra/p/102276, so it's not Live Help specific like some other current bugs are.
Sending a message, followed by sending just an image, appears to be a reliable way to see a duplicate post, but I don't know if that's a coincidence or not. Unless I've never used this communication pattern before today, this bug was introduced in the last 12-18 hours, as I had multiple live help interactions yesterday without this issue.
Attaching a snippet of 102276 showing a duplicate message (just in case the learner deletes the live help request).

Akshit D this can be marked as complete. Also adding Evan T who has suggested previously that I add him on feedback items that can be marked complete.

Noting that as of 10/23/25, the live help behavior mirrors the behavior in the old UI, where you are prohibited from sending an image unless you also specify text. So the duplicate posts issue I consider complete. I do wish I could send an image with no associated text, but the issue I reported is resolved.

OK, I've got more data on this. I did some testing in https://schoolhouse.world/w/computer-science/p/104162 and in https://schoolhouse.world/dashboard/live-help?p=104162. In the live-help version, if I send text (i.e. type text and then send it), then just paste in an image, I'm allowed to send the image, but it duplicates the text from the prior post, reliably. At the /w/ version of the page, if I send text, then just paste in an image, I am prevented from sending the image unless I also send text. I don't see why I should be prevented from sending an image without text, as in the /w/ implementation, but I definitely don't expect the prior text to be repeated if I omit text in the live-help version. So it's a behavior change from before, though I didn't love the prior implementation either that forced text when an image should (in my view) suffice.
