Yes, I feel like we need this. because after some series ended the group chat is still there so its a little messy. I feel like this can help with organizing the chat and also deleting mistakes we made.

I feel like, considering what Bea and Anicia said, we should have an option to edit/delete what we said, because I honestly make many mistakes while typing, but the chat can be saved by other so if it needs to be reported, then they can do that.

I agree with Bea D. I know people make mistakes, but maybe we should just edit it instead of deleting it. Even so... people might take advantage of that and do something mean. I personally have witnessed this online on another website. But I do get your point Michelle L.

I feel like some people could possibly say something mean or bad in any sort of situation and then they delete it, which isn’t safe. So when it needs to reported, where is that message? It is a great idea by the way.

Michelle L What types of things would you like to delete? For simple mistakes, you can just post a second message to correct the previous one. For more serious issues (like disclosing personally identifiable information), you can report it as a safety issue or email help@schoolhouse.world.

Thanks for the suggestion, Michelle L! My personal take is that (1) most chat applications don't allow deleting, or only do within a certain time window and (2) this feature would be too complicated to implement to be worth the upside. Curious if the team has any other opinions!
