Recently, there was an update where you can have unexcused absences in a series; I still haven't figured out how to mark or make an unexcused absence (both as a tutor and learner) Because of this, I came up with a solution.

Why don't we create a feature under the attendance area where tutors can put unexcused absences for students when appropriate? Learners can also input the information/request for an excused absence from their side (to prevent an abuse of power with this feature, tutors would have to approve a learner's request for an unexcused absence).

I also believe we should have a feature (for both learners and tutors) to be able to change the attendance for students who were tardy or didn't join because the tutor didn't show up instead of learners getting an absent mark when In reality the student was late or the tutor didn't show up.

These 2 features would help tutors keep up with the attendance rate appropriately and will help tutors avoid removing students who aren't violating the attendance policies.
