AP Physics certification is too broad
Aneesh M
Currently there is one AP certification for physics: AP physics. I feel like this is too broad, because there are 4 different AP Physics classes College Board has. AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism. Grouping all 4 of these certifications together into just AP Physics causes a little bit of confusion as someone might not know if they are qualified to submit a certification or not. I feel like this is also confusing for learners, because they won't know for sure if they are receiving AP help from someone who is actually qualified to give it to them. For example, a learner could join a session for AP Physics: E&M with a tutor that's only certified to teach AP Physics 1. This could cause potential problems. A solution for this is to get rid of the broad AP Physics certification and replace it with the 4 physics classes offered by College Board.
